So many girls love colored hair, but do not want to ruin their own hair. They finally find that wearing a wig is a best alternative to dye their own hair. But, the question is, how to hide my own hair, and how to make the wig to look not so wiggy?

We will show you the perfect and also a very easy way to wear a wig when you have long thick hair.

Step 1: Braid Your Own Hair, And Style It to Make It Stay Flat in Your Head.

Separate your hair to two parts, braid them.
Criss corss the two braids in the back and use bobby pins to comb them to make them stay flat.

Step 2: Put on Your Wig Cap

Normally, the wig will come with a wig cap, you can put on the wig cap to protect your own hair, and also can help your hair stay inside, not to sweep out of the wig.
Optionally leave a little of your own hair out along the hairline to mix it to the wig hair to create a more natural look

Step 3: Detangle the Wig, and Cut the Lace If You Buy a Lace Front Wig

Lace front wig often have an extra lace in the front of the wig, to show that the wig has never been worn. Cut the lace along the hairline carefully, and using a smaller scissors would help you to cut the lace more easily.

Step 4: Apply Your Wig

Put on your wig, and there’re two combs sewed inside the lace front wig on each side near the ear, you can comb them into your own hair to make the wig stay in place, and there’s an adjustable strap in the back of the wig, which can help you to adjust according to your circumference, and to make the hairline stay flat along your own hairline.

Step 5: Style the Parting

Part your wig to match your own parting. In front of the lace front wig, the wig hair is hand-tied to the lace, this helps to make the parting just look like your own parting.

A very useful tip to make the parting more natural, is to apply some foundation along the parting, to mix the wig parting to your own parting.
