The best way to braid along the hairline is to use a French braid. A French braid uses new sections of hair throughout the braiding process to create a neat braid that lies close to the scalp. You can adjust the thickness of the braid to create an individual hairstyle that reflects your personality and style.

Run the paddle brush through the hair to remove any knots.

Separate a 1-inch thick section of hair on the the hairline, just above the right ear.

Pull all of the remaining hair back into a ponytail and secure it with a hair elastic.

Divide the 1-inch section of hair into three equal-sized sections. Separate the three sections of hair so that one is on the left, one on the right and one in the middle.
