Washing Steps
- Use a wig brush or comb to corner the wig. Start at the end and go up to the bottom of the cover.
- Wash the wig with cold water. The water flows in the same direction as the hair to avoid tangle. Don’t soak your wig in the basin. This will tangle the hair.
- Use your fingertips and phosphate free shampoo specifically for human wigs to distribute the shampoo evenly throughout the hair.
- Rinse the shampoo with cold water. Rinse to make the water flow in the same direction as the hair.
- Pat the excess water with a towel. Do not twist or squeeze.
- Adjust the wig with wig conditioner, and evenly distribute the conditioner on the hair with fingertips.
- Rinse with cold water to remove conditioner. To remove excess moisture, tap gently with a soft towel. Do not squeeze or twist. Allow the wig to air dry on a collapsible wig stand or a large jar of gel.
Notes
1. Wigs can only be washed by hand, not by machine.
2. After cleaning, do not blow with a blower. It is best to place it in a cool and ventilated place to avoid the damage caused by the sun’s high temperature exposure.
3. It’s not suitable to comb just after washing. Some people comb the wig immediately after washing it. This will damage the wig inadvertently. It’s better to wait for it to dry quickly.
4. In case of fork, damage, dry hair and knot of wig, do not pull hard to avoid breaking the hair. Spray some special nursing liquid on the wig, and then comb it will be much better. But it’s better not to wash and comb it, because the damage to the wig is great.
5. The frequency of wig cleaning should not be too frequent. It can be washed once a month to prevent hair from falling.
6. If you don’t need to wear it regularly, you can spray less hair spray.
7. After the wig is completely air dried, cover the washed wig with a hairnet and put it into a sealed plastic bag with good air permeability (there are small round holes on the bag). If there is no such bag, it can also be put into a common plastic bag, and use a needle to put the bag through several holes.
8. Washed wigs should be kept in a dry place.
